Our Story Michaela and Zachary Newland

Happy Haven Daycare began with a simple prayer and a big dream. In 2023, we opened our doors as a small, home-based childcare facility with a heart for serving families in our community. What started as a cozy, faith-filled space in our home quickly grew into something more—because families saw the love, care, and dedication poured into each child every single day.

Our founder, Michaela, has been in the early childhood field for over 10 years. With degrees in Early Childhood Education, a strong passion for teaching, and hands-on experience as both a caregiver and a mother of two children, she is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich environment for every child.

Her husband, Zachary, brings a valuable background in business and entrepreneurship, helping build Happy Haven on a foundation of stability, organization, and long-term vision. Together, they have combined their strengths—and their love for children—to create a center that truly feels like a family.

As word spread and enrollment grew, so did our vision. With encouragement from the families we served and the calling God placed on our hearts, Happy Haven is expanding from our home facility into a fully licensed childcare center. Keeping the same warmth, personal care, and Christian values that made our home program so special.

Today, we remain grateful for our humble beginnings and inspired by the journey God has guided us through. Every step has been rooted in faith, guided by purpose, and focused on providing a place where children can learn, laugh, grow, and shine.

 From a small beginning in 2023 to a brand-new center today—Happy Haven is still the same loving Haven, just with more room to welcome more little blessings.
